Friday, we all packed up and took a road trip to Knoxville to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. These are some pictures in downtown Knoxville that were taken while trying to kill time before the show. Sadly, the security wouldn't allow me to take my camera into the venue, so these are only pictures from the night that I have. :( Despite not having a camera to capture it all, the concert was absolutely amazing. Like seriously. She, along with every other member in the band, knows how to put on a killer show. It was an incredible night, to say the least. I will definitely be making time to see Grace and all of her little Nocturnals once again.

Don't Let the Sun Beat You Down, Steal Your Crown...

Looking back on these photos, I realize I looked extremely angry. Haha, oops! Not intended. Anyway, considering the Southern summers get extremely hot and humid, rompers are always an immediate go to outfit choice for me. I especially love the floral design on this particular one, very summer-y.

Kimono

Just now got around to finally posting this. This lovely kimono is my latest favorite addition to my wardrobe. I love finding unique pieces, especially when they are awesomely priced. This is why Unclaimed Baggage is one of my favorite places in the world. After these were taken, I figured out the sleeves can hang differently than this, and that of course, I love that way 10x more. But, oh well, I’m sure I’ll be wearing it a lot this summer and then on into fall. This was my last outfit of Junior year. Hopefully I ended it on a good note. :)

Summer!

It’s finally here! Oh, and how I have missed it… Summer nights, stargazing, staying up ‘til dawn, sleeping ‘til noon, snoozin’ by the pool, being able to actually pick the people I see on a daily basis, reading, losing track of the days, hammocks, never wearing makeup, sunsets, the beach, late night swims, and last but certainly NOT least… NO SCHOOL! Yeah, I’d say it’s been a good day… And it’s only the beginning.

New York, I Surely Do Love You

Words can’t even begin to describe how badly I miss that city…

Happy Mother’s Day!

I seriously have the best mom in the world. She’s the most beautiful, most amazing, most inspiring, most loving person I know. I love you to the moon and back, Mom!

Bluegrass Festival

Yes, indeed, yesterday we surely bluegrassed it up. I honestly can’t say I’m the biggest bluegrass fan in the world, but yesterday’s festivities sure were fun! It was a nice breezy day filled with lots of nice laughs, live music, and some really interesting people. Though I, myself, enjoyed more of the walking around shopping at the neat little booths set up everywhere and talking to the vendors, I can’t say I hated the music. Who knows, I may even being warming up to bluegrass a little bit… Nah, probably not. Haha

My lovely little treasure finds from yesterday. Bought these from the sweetest couple in the world (the lady actually ended up giving me the pair of earrings as a gift) who hand make all of their jewelry. I immediately fell in love with this silver necklace. It’s actually a piece of silverware from the 1920s. How cool is that? Considering the Jazz Age is my favorite era, I thought it was pretty dang cool.

Blind As A Bat

Yay! New glasses! :) I can finally see again. Haha

Diane Birch

On top of her remarkable music with its wonderfully unique sound, this girl has got style if I’ve ever seen any. Diane is so effortlessly stylish and has a look that is all her own. I have serious envy for her wardrobe. Style icon? Yes, definitely. Still can’t believe that I’ve been given the chance to meet her a few times. She’s even lovelier in person… if that is even possible.

Rainy Day Please Stay

(Velvet Jacket: Urban Outfitters, Lace Cardigan: Topshop, Dress: Urban Outfitters, Headband: Topshop, Scarf: Vintage, Boots: Thrifted)

Whew… What a long and stressful day it has been. So ready to finally wind down and call it a night. At least the rain all day has helped to settle my uneasy nerves. That and a lot of soothing hot tea… Oh, and family, you can’t forget family. :) Until next time…  XoXo
